I am a bit relieved. We are hoping this means FS is open to all guests at this point. I don’t mind standby as we will have 3 days in the parks but paying a package premium for a family of 5 was our last resort. :joy: I will add that it’s mostly because we will be in Japan for 3 weeks and I am trying very hard not to blow our budget on TDR but I can’t make any promises!

Ouch! If we had to pay for our kids, we wouldn’t be willing to pay for the Vacation Package either.

Our 3-day Vacation Package, plus an extra night, all at the Toystory Hotel is about $900/person. But DD is paying her own way, which helps with our cost. This Japan trip will be our first “luxury” vacation!

Yes i totally get that. It is steep upcharge. The priority pas seam to run out much like LL. I am sure they will be able to issue more without all the package people riding as many times as they like. However, the priority passes for Frozen were gone befire we got into the park. We arrived at 7:50 and did not get in until 9:25.

You and Laura go on the best adventures!! Looks amazing. I think I need to go for no other reason than the Up house is in the parade!!

Friday summary:

We had a 6:30 am reservation at Dreamers lounge. Breakfast here was included in our package and we were able to schedule for each morning when we booked the hotel. It was a good with everything you would expect from a buffet breakfast.

After breakfast we hopped on the monorail over to TDS. Our room overlooks the entrance to TDL and we could see people were already lining up fir entry to the park befire 6am on a 9am opening so we knew that we would not be at the front of rope drop. Anyone who knows me or has been to a park with me knows that this never happens. I am always at the front of the taps. You just have to accept it. They are all sitting on their parade mats for hours patiently waiting for the park to open.

Anyway, we arrived at 7:50 for a 9am open. They started letting people in at 8:45. Security here is slow with only a few metal detectors to go thru. We did not get i to the park until 9:25.

Once inside we walked directly to Fantasy Springs. Our package includes unlimited access to Fantasy Springs snd its rides. You can not even enter the land unless you have a priority pass for one of the rides. Once in you can stay as long as you like.

We rode Repunsel first. We enjoyed this, it was a classic Disney dark ride, very well done. Only thing it was kinda short.

Next was Frozen which we did twice. Like FEA but much better and longer. The animatronics were much better, no projection faces, but the big drop was not as tall.

The we rode the Tinkerbell ride which was short but good fir littles.

We decided to have an early lunch at 11am to beat the crowds which ended up working out nice. We ate at the Snuggly Duckling in Fantasy Springs. It was mobile order only which was no probkem. If you have a credit card saved to your Disney account thats what it will use.

When we got in the park I was able to get a priority pass for Indiana Jones for 11:15 so we headed to there after lunch. It was not far outside of Fantasy Springs. I have never been on but I am guessing it is the same as the one in DLR.

We then went back into Fantasy Springs to ride Peter Pan. Another that we really enjoyed, reminded me of Forbidden Journey in UOR.

The rock work around the entrance to the Fantasy Springs hotel was full of characters.

After feeling satisfied we explored Fantasy Springs enough we left to do our 1pm premiere pass for Soarin. The load area and pre show were completely different, i hoped Patrick would have shown up. The movie however was the same except it ended in Tokyo DisneySea instead of WDW. Standby wait was almost 2hrs and seemed to be a popular place fir people to rope drop. We got B3.

Next we had an anytime for ToT. Same ride different story. Throughout this trip i enjoyrd seeing new take on rides I have known and enjoyed dor so many years. It was new yet familiar.

We wandered around for a while before dinner and saw that 20,000 leagues had only a 10 minute wait. So we did that and had dinner at Magellan’s

DisneySea was closing at 6:30. We still dont know why but think it was for a special event. We went over to Ikspiari which is like their Disney Springs. It was just one Monorail stop away so we figured why not. It was busy had a lot of stores but nothing we were really interested in. It us a great spot to have dinner if you cant get a reservation in the parks.

Got back to our room around 8pm and just crashed.

I had this same problem last year with DisneySea. It was much faster into Disneyland. But we also got there early and by the time we got in the happy entry period had elapsed and by the time we got to the end of the soarin’ line it was into the volcano area and was an hour long. I don’t think Happy Entry buys you much into DisneySea unless you get there three hours early like those people you saw and that is absolutely not worth it to me.

It’s the same exact path but the visuals are different and better in DLR.

Our room overlooks the entrance to Disneyland. There are people queued up for entry at 4:30 am fir a 9am open. IN THE RAIN! These people are professionals, i could never.

Nuts! Our way to get a good spot for the parade versus those people that hold their spot all day was to throw money at it and buy the premier pass seating. We were first and second row for the two parades and were able to show up very close to the parade times and our spots on the ground were waiting.

I do love how they all sit for the parades and how respectful everyone is. No one holding a phone over their heads with elbows out, etc.

Currently there is no Happy Entry into DisneySea. That is part of the problem. You will never get there early enough, so we are just going to accept it. Today we are going to let the crowds go thru before we get there.

Oh and in case I forget, thanks so much for your help when i was plan nong this thing. It was a huge help.

Is that for the opening of the Fantasy Springs? That’s even worse cuz at least we had a shorter line.
