Usually that’s how it works out until you get to 6+ days. That 5th day isn’t much of a discount. But you don’t have to do either. Just know it’s cheaper for the hoppers if you’re looking to do something on an evening after AK vs water park.
Would you be buying Base tickets or adding the Water Park and Sports option? (You mentioned going to a water park in your OG post.)
There isn’t a large price difference between 5-day Water Park & Sports and 4- day Park Hopper Plus.

yes, we’d do either base+ OR hopper+, meaning plus the waterpark option.
