TL or BB with littles?

In May we’re doing an extended family trip, staying at Riviera. I was thinking the weather would be great for the deluxe resort bonus first day free pass to a water park. We have 3 littles, ages 4, 4 and 2. Which park is better for kids that small? We live near the ocean so the wave pool at TL isn’t a huge draw for us.

I love Typhoon Lagoon’s wave pool for little kids. They love it so much. I have the best memories of my kids there. :ocean:

And moderate resorts. Do we get the benefit at value resorts as well?

As far as I know, only one park is open at a time. Unless they realize that having free admission will require both to be open.

In May usually only TL is open. They have been alternating the water parks. I haven’t heard that this has changed but would check on that. And the check in day free water park is with all the resorts- even the campgrounds! And that’s crazy because they don’t have additional charges for adults over two. The rate is for max guests and all can be adults.

I didn’t realize that only one water park would be open. I thought both were once the weather was hot enough. Simplifies my decision making :joy:

And thanks for correcting me on the resorts included! That’s awesome!

I’m really surprised that the campgrounds are included. I’m wondering if they will have to open both water parks. I guess it depends on how popular the perk becomes.
What’s wild is 10 adults can be checked into 1 night at the campground and all get a water park pass for a huge discount.

I think using the free water park day is tricky because often people arrive later in the day.

When it pays off the most is if you do a split stay…which gives you a full water park between resorts!

Yes - I think that’s why they’re offering it. It sounds like a nice perk but they realize only a small percentage of guests will take advantage of it.

FW is $220 a night during SB for the RV sites. For that price it should be included. Many campgrounds actually have on-site waterparks too so why not?

Doesn’t look like value resort guests have the benefit.

I agree. But the campsites hold 10 adults with no additional adult per night charge. In the 4 person value rooms, over 2 adults will have an additional night charge. So I just hope that little loop hole doesn’t have people booking up single night campground sites to save $$ on the water park. Even if it was only 8 adults on the reservation, that would cost $630 in water park tix. Saving up to $400 (or even more in some instances) by making a campground reservation for a night would tempt a lot of people.

The water park free on first night? It’s all resort hotels.

Interesting… so for a split stay I should have got it? I don’t see a ticket for my value resort check in day

Usually TL opens at the end of March but BB is still scheduled into April. The park hours are only showing through April 5th but you can book a lodge umbrella through April 23rd (as of today). It is very weird.

I don’t think they show the ticket perse. I’ll screenshot what I see.

I don’t see anything under tickets either.

Hmmm. Maybe they are planning more over lap. Will be interesting to see.

There was a run Disney event scheduled at TL on April 5th (or was it the 6th) but it has been canceled.

I guess they could just refund your money down the road if the park is actually closed. I won’t put it past Disney’s website to have a little snafu.
