I like a split stay. A couple nights at AKL to enjoy the animals and then move to an Epcot resort for all the dinner options within walking distances. We don’t have kids to worry about so that likely makes things easier. We also make it a late start and leave the first resort close to checkout, let Disney move our bags and then check in later in the day knowing our room will be available.
We have a trip planned for September that is two nights on site, 5 days off-site doing non-Disney stuff, and then 5 days on site. I’ve been assuming that the two cannot be combined for FP+ purposes. Am I wrong?
Correct. If they’re not contiguous they are (and always have been) treated completely separately.
With the new changes, any split stay (two reservation numbers) will have separate FP booking windows.
