Things you've somehow never got round to doing at WDW (or UOR), even though you really want to

Ooh, I forgot about the fireworks show at Epcot! We’ve intended to watch it a few times but we never end up staying that late.

You should do it next trip. DW and I love The People Mover, but my kids (ages 9 and 6) say it’s long and boring and don’t want to do it anymore.

Borderline as to how feasible/realistic this one is, but I’ve always wanted to dine at Victoria and Albert’s. We actually had a reservation made last time (this was pre-COVID) but had to cancel. Now of course the prices are several hundred dollars more expensive for our entire family to go and it’s hard to splurge. Also more on the aspirational side is Takumi Tei-- if I had the money I’d probably pick V&A over Takumi-Tei, but the aesthetic is lovely and we do love Japanese food.

Other dining things on my wishlist I’ve never gotten around to (mainly due to the rest of my family not being interested… maybe one of these days on a solo trip): Homecomin’, 'Ohana, Trattoria Al Forno, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier, Shiki Sai (this almost made it into our upcoming trip but was cut as we’re hopefully going to Real!Japan soon enough). Nomad Lounge is also on the list but we might actually try for it this December.

Non-dining related: Riviera Resort (well, this is somewhat dining-related); a skyliner resort; staying at the Poly; Stormalong Bay (we usually go in late December so despite staying at Yacht Club last time we did bypass the pool)); one of the animal excursions at Animal Kingdom

The one I’m really sad I keep missing: Happily Ever After!! I thought this year was finally my year, only to realize that WDW runs the Christmas fireworks all the way up to the 29th, before switching to Fantasy in the Sky (which we’ve seen several times before) for the 30-31…

So many things!!!
I want to stay at all resorts. (Six to go.)
A picnic on the hub grass at MK, which I plan on in February. I wanted to watch the sun rise and got to do that last October. It was wonderful! A meal at San Angel.
Most things on my list are simple. I just need to find the time.

I have some firsts planned for our trip next month that always got cut or I could never get a res for! If we make it to half of these it’s a win.

-stay at the poly (one night )
-trader sams
-Ohana dinner
-Tonga toast
-the xmas parties
-DS at night
-Narcoossee’s
-Jungle cruise holiday overlay
-Homecomin
-HBD but it will be for the xmas party not the normal menu

Tom sawyers island. The one that got away. We always go to MK at night so it’s closed. Also this trip my partner will be handicapped and it’s not accessible.

I actually have it on my list for our May trip. I am determined to ride it this time!

I have not been to TSI in over 20 years and my kids have never been. I’m going to try to fit it in next trip since that will be their last chance before it is replaced, but probably 50/50 chance it gets cut on the fly.

I wish I had a chance to eat at Restaurant Marrakesh.

I’m collecting things like resorts and slides and table service dining but I’ve done the ones I’ve most wanted to do. Things left I’m itching for is probably a one bedroom suite at Riveria and a bungalow at Poly (plus this slide looks cool) and a cabin at Wilderness. Some of those, while not the Cinderella suite, aren’t easy to collect but maybe if the world ticks on long enuf.

I I’ve been going since 1975, so I have been on every ride/attraction that has ever been at WDW except Flight of Passage (I couldn’t ride because I was too fat to fit), so that is the only ride that is on my definite bucket list (assuming I can lose enough weight to ride it).

I’ve eaten at every in-park restaurant except Space 220 (I couldn’t get an ADR), so that is on my list. I’ve eaten at all of the resort TS, including V&A (twice, once at the Chef’s Table) except Topolino’s, but again I couldn’t get an ADR, so that is on my list. I have little interest in resort QSs; I’ve been to a couple, but I have no desire to eat at all of them.

The only resort on my bucket list is WL; I had reservations there one time, but I had to cancel that trip kind of last minute (my mother died).

I have never been to one of the after-hours “parties”, but I have no interest in them.

As for DS, I spend very little time there and the 3 restaurants that I really wanted to try I have (Raglan Road, Morimoto’s, and The Boathouse). There are some others that might be “nice to do”, but are not really a priority.

I haven’t been to UOR since 2000, so 80% of the entire resort (90% after Epic Universe opens) is on my bucket list; my next Orlando trip will be a UOR trip - as soon as I lose enough weight to ride the coasters.

It was absolutely beautiful inside, but I’ve had much better Moroccan food elsewhere (the apps and desserts were very good, but the entrees were completely unremarkable). The best thing about it was that you could almost always get a walk-up table.

Yes I’ve read and can imagine that about the food but the ambience, design and show are the primary reasons I wanted to go. But the fact that it wasn’t as high rated for food quality is why I kept putting it off and choosing higher rated dining and now alas I’ve lost my opportunity most likely.
