Thank you. We did not have a problem last April with this, but our AP’s were already activated from the previous trip in 7/2024.

I called the help desk again this morning and she looked over everything in MDE and said I should be good to go. She claims that the “Select Preference” function under Plan my Day in the App should not interfere with preselecting LL’s. Hopefully… :crossed_fingers: :sad_but_relieved_face:

I just had to do this at the end of February and didn’t have an issue with booking LL when it was 7 days out. I activated my AP on my first park day.

Thank you.

I did my LL pre-selections this morning, and it did not go smoothly. I messed up on a few things. First of all, I did not eliminate myself from the party for GotG and paid for 4 people. I absolutely cannot ride that ride. It makes me sick. Secondly, on my MK day, I forgot to “Select All” and only booked for myself the first pass through. I thought we were good until I looked at BG1. Now my times are out of sync with the others, and by the time I booked them, my time slots were already gone. Lastly, I got the “Booking Failure” message at least 3 times for the entire week. I guess I was too slow and someone else grabbed my times. (I thought they held your times for 5 mins, and my son was with me, and we both swear it did not take me that long to click “Purchase”.) This was my worst performance to date on selecting LL’s. I guess I am getting old.

I am bewildered that people think this cumbersome process is simpler than getting up at 7AM the day of and selecting one LL and one ILL.

I’m sorry it didn’t go as planned.

Hopefully you can wiggle things around and get it the way you want it before your trip! I had some luck refreshing the day of and getting things where I wanted them. :crossed_fingers: for you!

I was successful at going to guest services and asking them to remove me from the paid Guardians pass once. We had park hopped from AK and I threw up after riding EE. I knew that after that I should not get on Guardians a couple hours later. They refunded my money.

Good to know. Thanks!

Good news update! I got an extremely helpful CM on the phone. He was able to remove me from our GotG LLSP reservation and issue me a refund. He was also able to adjust our LLMP windows for our MK day so that we all had the same LL windows. Really great service!

Great news that you were able to get some help! The system is too complicated. If you are having trouble, normies don’t have a prayer!

I’m picturing a table of judges sitting in your living room evaluating your LL selection skills and holding up signs of 3-4 out of 10.

LOL. I did have a bit of a drama queen reaction to my LL experience this morning, so I apologize for the rant. I have calmed down now. I just consider myself to be somewhat skilled at this stuff and I flubbed it this morning. If I did not have to use MDE, but could have used @joelbruick ‘s wonderful interface for everything, I would have been fine. I just find MDE to have so much unnecessary clutter, and the screens confuse me. Once I made one mistake, I just got flustered and nervous through the rest of the purchases. Got it all sorted out now. It’s all good. :+1:

Aaaaa that would probably happen to me too. I am very happy you got things sorted out. I will say that Disney still has excellent guest services. The CM really try to help you.

I was watching DFB Guide latest news video and they said Disney confirmed that BTMRR will remain in Group 1 when it reopens in May. That means no LLSP (or VQ most likely).

Have you heard any rumors about soft openings? Our last MK day is May1.

No, but it’s possible, so keep your eye out for news. The official reopening is May 3rd, and no previews have been announced. That makes it more likely in my opinion that they will soft open for everyone. But no guarantees.

I’m planning to hover in Frontierland basically all day tomorrow! I’ll let you know.

Hovering (or being at the right place at the right time) are generally the best approaches for this. I was in MK a few days before New Fantasyland officially opened. As we were walking by the new entrance to New Fantasyland, the CM opened the area for guests to enter. No announcement, no notice, just “welcome in and enjoy”.

As an aside, my then GF (not interested at all in WDW but agreed to join me) and I made our way to Journey of the Little Mermaid (7DMT would not open until months later). There was another couple behind us in line that we started talking to. Turned out they were in the same situation as us with him dragging her to WDW so while in line, the guy and I talked about all things Disney World while our girlfriends discussed other topics with each other. Note: This GF was not DW. I met DW after that relationship ended.

Completely understandable based on this anecdote. :winking_face_with_tongue:
