This looks set up for a great day at HS!

We’ve done some of this. Last trip, we spend our first night at All-Star Sports and then moved to a 1 Bedroom at BLT while putting the savings toward LLPP at HS (covered about the 75% of the cost of LLPP for the four of us).

We also went from 2-3 TS per trip to 0-1. I have found the quality of the meals at TS to have decreased over the past 15 years anyway. The food used to be one of the reasons I enjoyed WDW. Not the case anymore with the exception of the Epcot festival foods.

Wholeheartedly agree on the TS. I currently have only 3 TS reservations for a 9 (almost 10) night stay. I’m also honestly not super jazzed by F&G festival food either…

Agree. Not much I could actually eat, either.

I have a question.

I think I have watched enough Mammoth Club videos to figure out that I need to reserve LLMP’s 7 days ahead of time, and then, if I don’t like the time periods that were automatically assigned to me, then I need to try to … modify the time of the attraction that I wanted to have at a different time of day. I think. I have not been able to finish the Ear Scouts video because I keep crying from frustration of not understanding the words coming out of the man’s mouth. He started talking about picking attractions on MDE, and just lost me. I have no idea.

Anyway, if I understood Molly, first reserve a LLMP, and second try to rearrange it.

So. I want to buy LLMP’s for the day that we’re spending Hollywood Studios. (Even though I have park hoppers, and I prefer to split my days up and go to two parks per day, I have rearranged my schedule and 1/3 of my dining reservations so that I am spending one entire day in Hollywood Studios to try to make LLMP work.)

But here’s the problem: I want to ride Slinky Dog Dash at night. I have ridden SDD first thing in the morning three times over the past 5 years. It’s an enjoyable little coaster. Very cute. I like it. But I want to experience it at night, not first thing in the morning, or mid-morning, or even in the afternoon. Night. With those pretty, giant Christmas tree lights all lit up. That looks like more fun to me.

Both Mammoth Club and the Touring Plans app tell me to reserve SDD for first thing in the morning and then spend the rest of the day working on MMRR and ToT and MFSR and standing in line for Rise of the Resistance (which, no, I’m going to buy a LLSP for that because my husband has loved Star Wars since he stood in line around a block to see it in June of 1977). I just want to ride SDD at night.

So here’s the question: Will I be able to keep refreshing that one LLMP to the point that I’ll actually get it set for night time?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

You can make LLMP work across more than one park. You just cannot prebook in two parks.

Very simple. Prebook at night. Book something else for early in the morning and you can use that to try and get MMRR/ToT/MFSR.

Do those night time LLMP’s come up when you try to prebook 7 days before your trip? The way the videos go, it sounds like you only get morning times.

Yes! I just did LLs this morning. It will give you the first time but there is a ā€œmodify timeā€ that is front and center and very simple to do in the same screen.

Were you watching the ā€œevery LL challengeā€ video? I think they are fun but I think that in one of them she admits that they aren’t as much for education but a ā€œchallenge.ā€ She makes it overly complicated.

Haha I am so happy to take some pressure off! You should easily be able to get an evening time for Slinky and therefore not have to stress about it.

No, no, I’ve watched every Lightning Lane video she’s done. I watched the overview first and then started watching the individual parks after that. (I don’t think she’s posted MK yet., so I’ve just seen the ā€œhow toā€ and then AK, Epcot, and HS.)

Edited to add: I watched the individual park challenges not to try to get all the lightning lanes, but to try to get really accustomed to how fast the screens scroll by when she’s trying to modify an already reserved Lightning Lane. I will probably re-watch them before I leave for WDW in just over three weeks!!! (Eeeeeeee!!!)

Here’s the booking screen!

I am a crazy Mam Fam fan and I’m in the Discord channel. She said she’s going to wait to do MK until BTMR is back up. I think that makes sense.

I’m so excited for you!!

You can choose your own times. There will be a default time given but you can modify those times before checking out. I booked SDD for 6:35 in March because I prefer to ride at night. I booked TSM and ToT for the 9AM hour.

You’re welcome!

@melcort10 has given you perfect advice, but I’m just going to add one thing:

The reason this is the suggestion is that it is easier to modify a LL after it’s been booked rather than to finagle it to give you your preferred time on your initial pass through the booking system. But in theory, you should be able to get your preferred times on the first pass. It’s not a necessity to book then modify. Just don’t stress too much - you can always modify later!

You have been given good advice from others but I want to just summarize abit for you

When you start the purchase of the LL Multi Pass, you will select your day, the park and your party. The rides that have LL will appear. (MK has 17, Epcot and HS each have 11 and AK has 8)
The rides are separated into tier 1 (choose 1)and tier 2 (choose 2), so that makes it more easy to navigate.

For each ride you will be able to choose a timeslot. There will be a suggested time but you can change it by tapping on the ā€œmodifyā€ button, then selecting the hour you are interested in, tapping on that button and finally selecting specific time. So if you are interested in riding Slinky in the dark, you will select eg 8pm and then select 8:15pm

Two LLs can’t overlap more than a few minutes and LLs can’t overlap with dining reservations.

Once you choose your rides and times, you will be able to proceed with confirmation and payment.
You have 5 minutes to complete your transaction.

You can buy single passes in the same transaction or you can do separately.
If there are people in your party not able/wanting to rides the single pass rides, do separate transactions.

The process is user friendly and is easier than you expect.
Each day is done separately.
You can book LLs from the LLMP list from one park only.
LLSPs can be from different parks (makes sense only if park hopping).

People advise to book LLs as early as possible, so that you book your 4th, 5th, 6th LL before they sell out
Since you will secure and save a Slinky LL for nighttime, you will ā€œplayā€ with two LLs for the rest of the day. Prebook, ride, book, ride etc

On the day of visit, it is also advisable to book the LL for the ride you want for whatever time you find it, and then modify.

Modifying a LL on MDE is easier and quicker than booking from start.

You can modify as many times as you want, so try to improve your times, gradually if needed.
