As long as the park is open, people will buy food and merch so it can be profitable.

This is Disney’s fault. The last minute hours changes really bothers me. They really can’t set the hours 60 days out? If they can’t, then don’t allow ADR booking until hours are set. They make everyone else plan far ahead but they can’t?

To be fair, I believe when they were doing PPO breakfasts, Disney was still making you book 180 days out. While Disney still changes hours, they aren’t quite as in flux at 60 days as they were at 180 days!

You would certainly hope so, but they have not been posting hours 60 days ahead. For our November trip, we had our hours posted just about 12 days out.

You are correct but they still don’t post hours 60 days out. Hours should be final when ADR booking open. I don’t want to even be in a park that opens extra early because we won’t make it in time and then lines will already be long when we arrive.

Initial hours are posted 70 days out (in the app). Final hours are posted every Friday. I believe those hours are for a week, 10 days from that Friday?

We did these our first couple of trips and I quit doing it though it was nice to get into the park and not have to stand in that long rope drop line, we never finished breakfast before official opening and I had littles that wanted to see all the Pooh characters for example so 1) it didn’t give us a jump on anything and 2) as ya’ll mentioned on one of the trip Disney changed the hours to where now we were losing the ability to use that first hour to get stuff done because now we’re in a breakfast at standard opening.
At that point, I switched to the last breakfast seating so my kids could still get the character experience and we treated it like brunch after getting the benefit of those first couple of hours. I think this was honestly the better option personally

It’s totally not worth doing an early breakfast now. I’d love that PPO BRG though as that was great.

We had one booked for 8 am at Crystal Palace. Had plans to scamper over to the Frozen meet and greet to wait for 9 am opening. Started leaving Crystal Palace at 8:40 am and saw hordes crowding down Main Steet. Went over and got in [the long] line anyway which was showing 45 minute wait at 9 am. We waited in line 15 minutes, with no movement of line or wait time. Decided to bail to do other things.
Never did get back to a Frozen m&g. I figure their loss.
We opted for 10:30 am breakfasts after that.

Brunch sounds so affected though.
But I will do that on a non park day at a resort so that we can get a bigger variety of foods. I’m not that into breakfast foods.

My ideal eating pattern at Disney is late brunch and dinner, with snacks sprinkled in.

One perk that I wish they would bring back is the Park-to-Park transportation. It was short-lived and not well publicized, but it was a nice feature. We used it a lot while they had it. We usually have park hoppers or AP’s but find that we don’t hop as much as we should because of the time involved in getting back to the park entrance and catching transportation from there.
