Having just returned from our trip, I definitely think longer hours would be a draw to get more people to book summer stays.
Even sitting down in the parks in the midday sun in July is brutal and makes you question your decision to come that time of year, whereas evenings (or even cloudy hours post rain) were actually very pleasant for touring. And the parks are so pretty all lit up! It’s a totally different feeling to day time.
Absolutely they are losing money by not offering the in park purchases delivery.
It is really confusing why they don’t bring back Harambe Nights at AK.
I know it was not free, but why not?

I also shop more later at night so I don’t have to carry stuff around.

The celebration will kick off at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome reception. Then guests will move to a new Harambe Theater, where they will be able to enjoy a private performance of the new 55 minute show, “The Lion King: Concert in the Wild.” What makes this performance even more special is that celebrity narrators will be on hand, in addition to a live orchestra and choir, along with dancers. During the show, guests will see the iconic scenes from the film, theatrically recreated for a never before seen take on The Lion King tale.

After the show, guests will then be able to head to the streets of Harambe, where they will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise, meet Disney characters, and participate in artist signings. In addition, a band will be on hand to get the party rocking.
The celebration will feature a culinary nod to Africa with multiple buffet stations, sweet bites of gourmet desserts, and a selection of African beers and wines, plus specialty beverages that are all included in the event admission. Soft drinks and water will also be offered.
Some of my favorite WDW memories over the past 46 years are from the now defunct evening extra magic hours … wait, how has it been 46 years since my first WDW trip?!?
I nevee knew they had this! I always thought a twinkle light, food and drink party at AK would be fantastic!
For my trip in June I flew in on American and stayed at Pop! I loved having the luggage delivery again.

I chose other because what I would love to see Disney bring back is magic. Simple magic 
It is not magic to be shut out of resort hopping when you’re staying on property but driving in your own car. Does Disney not figure simple stuff like appropriate parking lot size?
Other simple stuff is vocabulary. Do not call a lodging place value when the prices are as high as the All Stars. Same dates but at Branson have some nice hotels for half the cost.
Magic would be treating guests as tho they were valued. One excellent way to achieve that would be to rethink theme park admission. Charge a magical $25 per person to enter the park. Revamp the old ticket book idea utilizing today’s technology. Parents of 3 year olds that want to ride Dumbo 40 times in 3 days simply tap in with a magic band every time they enter the line and Disney will automatically charge their preset account a dollar. Set a higher price per ride for Tron or Rise or Flight of Passage.
Or even, magic , open a whole new Florida 5th gate with E ticket rides from all over Disney’s World of parks, no need for R & D investment. Teens scan at line entry for pay per ride.
All Disney seems to care about right now is bodies in beds.
I remember those days! 
DD11 and I ride Dumbo together once each trip at night now for nostalgia. We laugh about the “old days” of riding Dumbo over and over. We have a video of her (at age 3.5) and I riding Dumbo at night in a drizzle while the fireworks are in the background and she is describing all of this on the video with excitement (which we recorded for DW).
Our first trip as adults with our kids who were almost 2 and 5 at the time and checking the bags at your home airport and getting them at your hotel later taking the magical express was pure Magic. It was one of those things that made Disney truly special and when you’re traveling with very small children that need a lot of attention and to be carried or pushed in a stroller it was a lifesaver to not have to worry about luggage on top of that or booking transportation with car seats. I don’t really need those things now and with adult children ubering or renting a car is more ideal and we can all handle our luggage but I do remember back in 2009 how special that all felt. And we spent our entire week in the world for convenience.
I will say I did a last minute Priceline $100/night stay (thanks to @JJT) at CSR for MLK weekend once, solo and I was trying to do it on the cheap. I wouldn’t have probably gone if I didn’t have Magical Express that time so it does probably cost them some quick cheap trips like that for their big fans that might come more often.
I will jump between onsite and offsite, and right now, the costs for staying onsite are not worth it at all. We’re not (intentional) rope droppers, and we can’t stay later than 7 pm most nights (damn races), so longer hours don’t do much, same with extra magic hours. I’ve learned the beauties of renting a car, so airline checkin and Magical Express are no longer “must haves.” Magic bands are now rechargeable, so we only really need one anymore.
The only things left are Package delivery and other, and I already know my other. That’s Tables in Wonderland. Yes we could dine enough to be able to make it work, and flexible enough that we wouldn’t feel bound by the limitations of the dining plan, any plan. We actually liked the package delivery, because we wouldn’t need to carry everything all over the place. I have a walker, so I could carry most things on there, anyway, but I’d rather just not have to deal with it. Go back to the room, the next day, go pick it up at the resort gift shop, and drop it back off into the room, bam, done!
This. I’d love to be able to pick it up at the guest services or someplace. The one time I used package delivery to the hotel it wasn’t a good experience and we decided we were never doing that again.
I stow my phone so I don’t lose it. I don’t trust it in my pocket on rides. Pulling it out constantly would get annoying really fast. Also, I never use my phone as a hotel key because I have small hands and need both hands to unlock it; I usually carrying stuff and a key card works much better.
I’m terrible with key cards!
I would lose or misplace them. Last month, a CM found my hotel card key near my number at ST! I suppose a lanyard would help.
I love my MB! It’s on my wrist and I have yet to lose one! When I stay onsite, my MB is all I need. It unlocks my room, gets me into the parks and LLs, works for PhotoPass, and if I chose to do so, charges my room. Well, I still need my phone to book LLs!
Another pet peeve is the $6 package fee- really?!
The biggest thing for me would be Magical Express. There were times that was available that it made the difference between staying on property by the time we factored in the cost of rental car and parking. We are not big shoppers, so package delivery would not do anything for us.
Ironically, we have the thread going about buses. In shoring up who can use their buses, Disney is creating a “perk” that doesn’t cost them anything - vs all the perks we’ll probably never see again.
