That does make hopping and chasing LLs more difficult. The footprint of the parks is smaller than at WDW, which will help. DL feels smaller than MK, yet has twice as many rides as MK. So less walking overall.

That puts a different light on things. Have you considered renting him a scooter? Many people who have a hard time walking all day use them at DLR. It’s very common. You can arrange for them ahead of time. Park it in the Land you are in, walk around there, and then use it to get you to the next land.

That’s a good idea. You can then judge for yourself and go again with her if you think she can tolerate it. It’s all the head bobbing that’s rough. A friend of mine said she thought her head was going to come off, so no more for her. I’m 67 and love it…sometimes do it 3 times in a row. I have no ortho issues of any kind, though. I get no residual pain, but it does knock you around.

Interesting as I would never say I notice any head bobbing. It’s the roughness on my butt/back and trying to brace myself with my arms to keep from being battered so much.

And they have a lot more to do on Mainstreet which I’m excited for. At WDW, Mainstreet feels like a pass through or for shopping. We never actually hang out there (except for the occasional Dapper Dans performance).

He will not use one. He would rather suffer in pain and stop several times than use a scooter. He said they are for people that can not walk. And he can walk… He did just have a bone spur removed that has alleviated a lot of pain. Now he’s got the hip pain but just yesterday he got the steroid injection. Next week, if it gives him relief, we will start a walking regime. So far our last few years of WDW trips have been at a much slower pace that I would do solo. But I can’t leave him home either, lol.
Oh, we skip RRC in WDW a lot due to this. Maybe I should nix Matterhorn. I thought it was more like 7DMT. I avoid videos of new rides. So I really don’t know where I’ve gotten these ideas from!

Sadly, no.
We wrote it in 2018. And I was horrified. So when I went with Tabitha in 2024 I figured I would never offer it and we would only go on it if she asked. She never asked until near the end of the last day and the line was crazy long.
At this point, I can’t remember if Marie went on alone or not when we went a few months ago. But given the fact that I was battling a headache the entire time I was there there was no way I was going on it.

I could quibble on RnRC’s rainking depending on where in the train you are. Also Space Mountain DL I’m less confident on where to place it, but definitely below the Big Gap.

I would love this! I thought Genie+ was far superior. But maybe it just worked better for me and the groups I travel with.

At WDW - right? You are going to try it at DL? It is so much better at DL! Smooth, fast, fun. It might be my favorite coaster. Even counting Cosmic Rewind. It hits all the spots for me including nostalgia!

Okay, I personally think Matterhorn might be worse than Space at WDW. If you have back issues (or DH) I would definitely skip it.

That’s more or less where my back would rank these rides, as well. 1 and 2 are “Oh hell naw”, 3 and 4 are “ok, once is fine”, then everything under BIG GAP “is A-OK!”
I’ve never actually ridden Sky School, but it’s Wild Mouse, which was also the basis for Primeval hurl Whirl, so I already know what to expect.

Yes! But only because it’s rickety. If DL version is smoother, I’m definitely going to try it!
To be honest, my back issues are probably worse than DH in the space of what can get harmed. DH doesn’t like getting in and out of the vehicles. I have hardware in my back so the jerking around on the WDW version makes me grumpy. I’m pretty sure DH crossed it off the list because I complain after riding it! 
But I can handle BTMR and a lot of other jerky things. I cross of RRC so much because I’m prone to migraines. I’m hoping the Muppets vibe mellows the whole experience for me. 
If not, it will be another once and done for me.
Primeval whirl was one of my all time favorites. It’s a ride that helped my Disney addiction as a young adult bringing my adolescent teens. We all loved it. I can tell you I almost cried when they closed it and I’ve written Disney 2 emails telling them exactly this.

Thing is, it’s a very “off the shelf” roller coaster. You could tell that Dinoland was built as a very last minute project. It was scaled down really hard from whatever it was originally designed to be.
Wikipedia does have a list of Wild Mouse coasters that have been opened (and some since closed). Surely, one can’t be too far away from where you live

Personally, I think GSS is worse than MH in terms of getting thrashed around. And it’s not nearly as thrilling as MH, which, by the way, is glorious at night, when you keep coming out of darkness and can see IASW lit up. I’m sure my body will convince me to give up GSS before MH. But because my username is TremDLNUT (emphasis on Nut), I continue to torture myself on Goofy, mostly because I can walk on either with LLMP, or SR.

The closest one is a 7 hour drive There aren’t many theme parks around here.

three years ago we did Genie+ (equivalent of LLSP and LLMP) with park hoppers and got to the park at 8am and stayed till 12am and to be fair we went to three bars (carthay lounge, lamplight lounge and ogas cantina) cuz we were all adults 21+ but we accomplished approximately 14 or so attractions. I clocked at us at over 13 miles walking.
Went again last year and LLPP and let us sleep in a bit. Think we entered around 10am and we left about 11:15pm and we rode every single LL ride including both versions of GotG (Halloween time and they count them separate), had table service brunch at river belle terrace, sit down dinner ar blue bayou and saw of WoC. Well we didn’t ride Autopia but we could have. And we rode Pirates which didn’t have LL at the time. I think it was like double the rides and half the walking cuz we could ride in a circle for much of it minus meal interruptions and Tomorrowland. I’m pretty sure when I counted it was 29 total attractions and we could have done Autopia with our last LL if we wanted to we’re just all adults and didn’t care to.
It’s worth it if you only have one day, want to do table service and see a night show and not be on your own phone waiting for drops and golden tickets.
I’ve also done a 9 hour VIP tour 2 years ago with a sitdown breakfast at carnation cafe and sitdown dinner at blue bayou and the chairs for PM parade and it was about the same 14 or so attractions accomplished as the equivalent of LLMP and LLSP.
LLPP is a the clear winner for a one relaxing day for the money.
