The sand is what helps gllide the puck! I love shuffleboard. When I did drink / go to bars this is how I would pass the time. I’m too short for billiards, can’t throw a dart at all or hit a ping-pong ball to save my life (especially after a few drinks!)

ETA: I have a pool table at my house. I am short and no good at it but it’s still fun to play.

Shuffleboard is far more common around me. Ping-Pong was at my usual bar, but not everywhere. They had karaoke nights too.

I grew up with a pool table. I can play, but it so embrassing when you have to lay down on the table to make a shot. I know I’m “supposed” to use the bridge cue, but I don’t have enough control that way…

When I worked at MovieWorld they would pay us overtime to stay after park close to stand along the Red Carpet for private events. We had to act like they were celebrities. We’d yell “OMG! It’s really HIM!” & wave paper at them trying to get autographs & etc…

A lot of guests liked it, but it freaked out people as they weren’t ever told that’s how they’d be greeted as they entered the park…

A dozen or so young people just screaming at you and acting wild or even “fainting” when you walk by must be so strange if you don’t expect it!
