My family’s trip was canceled due to the massive Southwest flight cancellations on 12/26/2022. We were not able to arrange a flight with a different airline and we live to far away to drive. My 2 kids, 7 and turning 5, handled the news very well. As for me, my wife, and my mother-in-law we are extremely disappointed.

I appreciate all the sympathetic responses. This was for a Disney trip. It could’ve been a lot worse. We could have been stuck in a connecting city far away from home. We are now having a staycation at home and letting the kids pick lots of activities to do inside and outside of our home.
