Switching hotels for AP discount

I see there is an AP discount for Portofino Bay for May 25-29. We currently have a reservation at Royal Pacific.
Is there any big downside to Portofino? And I can cancel without any fees, correct?

I don’t know about the cancelation fee part, but Portofino is beautiful. It’s my favorite Universal hotel (the kids favorite is Hard Rock). No downside in my opinion.

Awesome blossom, extra awesome! I will likely book tonight. The language on the website makes it seem there should be no cancellation fee.

Yay!! I love it. It’s quiet there (but not in a bad way). And there’s a yummy gelato shop and pizza restuarant. The pool is lovely.

The only cancellations fees that you get when booking through universal are if you cancel less than 6 days in advance.

Hard Rock wasn’t available which will disappoint DS but I’m excited.

Portifino is also my favorite Universal Hotel. My first and only stay there I had booked Royal Pacific but was able to get a better deal at Portifino. No cancellation fees and it was a choice I don’t regret. Royal Pacific is lovely, but Portifino is just special.
