Oh no! They should let you use the GCH pool. Would it be worth switching hotels at this point? If you called they might be sympathetic.

I called. We can use the pools at the GCH or Pixar Hotel. The small pool at DL will be open,. The CM I spoke to said that if I was considering changing horels, at this point, I would have to speak to a supervisor. I looked, there is no availability at GXH. Pixar is more $$$. I doubt that they would offer to let me switch (2 rooms) at no additional cost.
So, my DGDs 7 and 4 years old we get to experience the pools at all 3 Disney hotels,

If they had informed me, I would have possibly switched to GCH.

I hope you still have a grand time! Last time I was there only one of the slides was operating. And it actually looks like most of the big pool is open? The slides are separate from the main pool on a higher tier. I guess you’ll find out soon.

My DGDs loved the pool at the Disneyland Hotel even without the waterslides. By our check in day, we were only allowed to use the pool at Paradise/Pixar Hotel, not the GCH. They did give us rides to and from the PP hotel in a golf cart.
The DGDs ages 7 and 4 enjoyed the waterslide at PP. DGD 8 months enjoyed the splash pad. The adults found the pool area underwhelming.
