How did you know everything to do? Did you just go to the spots on the map/in the app?

We found a few tips on what to look out for online (for example, there’s snow-themed area upstairs with binoculars and an even mini-er mini game), but for the most part, we just used the map and poked around the land until we found stuff. That said, I’m sure there was stuff we missed!

Thanks. This is good advice. We will have EPA and I can see us going in the third day (which will be a tuesday and more mellow) and spending time doing this. The idea of exploring and finding hidden secrets is much more appealing. Now I will have to do some more SMW research.

Yup, that was what I was worried about. We will not order those. Thank you for helping me not get tempted by yet another version of butterbeer again.

I will say that I hate the regular butterbeer but really enjoyed the crepe! Might be worth at least trying.

I’m definitely in the minority (along with my DD). Seems most people love it.

I have an issue eating pudding and jello. I gag if there’s nothing crunchy or at least a solid texture. I can’t get it down.

Does the BB crepe have anything like toffee pieces or something to add texture to it?

There’s nothing crunchy but it has the crepe.that you have to chew.

Thanks! Sadly, that’s not enough as the “rubbery” texture of crepes is similar.

I’ll still try it to say I’ve eaten all the BB items. However, I’ll be careful to eat somewhere away from people in case I hurl or have to spit it up..:rofl::zany_face::zany_face:

Bring something crunchy with you to cover the crepe and mix it with the custard.

Looks like it comes with strawberries. Maybe you could ask for some extras and it might balance out the texture? I dislike folded crepes and prefer rolled crepes. You could always unfold, put strawberries back in and then roll them rather than fold. May help with your sacrificial tasting.

This land was way too overwhelming for all of us. Such frantic energy and too many people. We did discover being able to enter through the lower level exit in order to go to Mine Cart while skipping the upstairs.

I think this was my favorite thing I ate at Epic. It was so delicious!

I thought the crepes were less sweet than the hot and frozen butterbeer (we don’t get the regular). They are amazing, don’t miss them.

Ahh. Now I’m back on the fence again…

Maybe just try it and chalk it up to an experience if neither of you likes it. Worst case you toss most of a $20 dessert. DD and I (mostly I) managed around half of it.

I know, I hate wasting expensive food! But if I hadn’t tried this particular item myself, I’d have regretted it. I really thought I was going to love it (despite not being a butterbeer fan).

Yes. I feel like it’s a peer / social media / FOMO pressure thing. I’d rather spend the $20 on a nice alcoholic drink but I feel obligated, lol.

Somehow I’ve been to Universal Parks at least a dozen days since the Harry Potter stuff opened and I’ve never tried Butterbeer anything. Last trip after riding BatM, I asked DD10 if she wanted to try a butterbeer (and I would have gotten one too if she did), but she said it didn’t interest her.
