Long story short, my friend didn’t realize that alot of in park merch isn’t sold online- and missed buying a tron remote lightcycle for her son.
She asked me to grab it in the park when I’m there next month but I’m not sure it will fit in my suitcase.
I don’t know if Disney will still ship things home that you buy in park. Thanks!

As of December 2023, the gift shops at Disney resorts hotels will pack and ship items purchased on Disney property for a fee to cover the packing and shipping costs. Be sure to save your receipts in order to prove where the items were purchased.

She doesn’t care, she’s just feels awful because it was the only souvenir he wanted. I can save her a little on the cost of the item using my AP discount.
A good strategy is you can save up your purchases and ship everything that was bought from Disney all for one price that maxes out around $40 IIRC. Last Festival of the Arts I might have bought like 8 pieces of artwork and just carried them all to the last location and then they shipped everything for a very reasonable price. You do need receipts from everything. You can do this from your home resort gift shop as well if you collect things over the visit as well.
Note: if just shipping smaller stuff the price is based on cost of item so it could be much less but the maxed out price is a pretty good deal really…
Do the gift shops in Disney Parks no longer ship? When I shipped my lightsaber in June 2022 I was told I could ship it from any gift shop in HS that was open. I opted to take it back to BC where I had it shipped from the Marketplace gift shop. ETA: It was about $20 IIRC. Add inflation. 
The gift shops still ship. Or you can do it from a resort gift shop. And the festival booths can ship as well same as the theme park shops…
I tried to ship an item in early 2023 from an HS gift shop and was told it had to go thru a resort hotel gift shop. As a side note, during the same trip park gift shops still could not forward purchased items back to a resort hotel.
I had a friend do it from Disneyland back in March and it was under $20.
