Stephen Mikes, "Chakranadi" sitar player in Animal Kingdom, has passed away

His music added so much to the atmosphere of Asia.

He’s been out of the park for months – Woody, my son who is a custodial CM in DAK, often asks me to check the Facebook page of the wife because he misses the sitar music. This is sad news.

I’ve only ever caught him in passing. I was really hoping to see him perform during my next stop and smell the roses visit.

I saw that on IG last night

He was such a huge contributor to the atmosphere at Discovery Island. Even if he made it super hard to order your food at Flame Tree His music was wonderful.

I know he recently (semi recently anyway) shared that he was having heart surgery. Seems like he’s been not well for a while

I hope he’s feeling better now.
