So heading to HS on dec 8 but I see posts about having a reservation to Ogas to help ensure entry into the land. Just wondering when the land first opened up were people not able to enter 4 days later due to capacity issues? Just wondering how important it is for me to try and get that reservation. I do have a reservation for Hollywood and dine already.
It is entirely possible that it will be unnecessary. But nobody really knows. RotR is the headliner for the land and may (or may not!!) draw bigger crowds than the soft opening did. I’m more of a “rather have and not need, than need and not have” type person, so I’ve got my Oga ADRs just in case.
Yeah, it’s quite a mystery. It certainly wasn’t an issue when the land opened. The crowds were lower than Disney expected. Are all those people they expected to swarm the place waiting for RotR and going to show up in force that first weekend? Maybe! I agree it makes sense to get an ADR if you can. They don’t really have food so you can just go, have your drink, and leave quickly if it’s not where you want to spend your time. And once there’s some crowd info from Dec 5-7 you can decide whether to keep it.
That said, the fact that they ran free dining and room only discounts for December indicates they weren’t overwhelmed with bookings, which leaves me hopeful it won’t be TOO insane. I arrive on Dec 14.
Oh, you mean my dates?!
It’ll be fine! LOL
I got a res at Oga’s to ensure entry to the land. Oga’s isn’t really a typical ADR–it’s only a bar, where you can get drinks (alcoholic and non) and a few snacks. They say that entry is limited to 45 min but I have no idea how they monitor it. I originally cancelled our dinner that night for Oga’s but then changed that when I realized it wasn’t really a meal.
Thanks yes I am going to keep seeing if I can snag one just in case
4th-10th for us…
This is really unique, to say the least. It’s always interesting to see what angle Disney is going to come up with next.
