We are considering a Split Stay. Many years ago when we did this, Disney moved our luggage from one resort to the next behind the scenes. We dropped at the Bell Hop at Pop and then, it was in our room at Boardwalk. Do they still do this? If not, how do people manage this transition? Tips or hints?
Yes they still transfer luggage. Call from your room and BS will pick it up, give you a ticket, and deliver to next resort.

They don’t deliver it to your room automatically, but you can call when you get into your room and they’ll bring it right up. I do many split stays and it’s always seemless.

It seems that much luggage is transferred after 4 pm.
And as @LTinNC82 says, after you call for it. And if you are in your room to receive it.
