Does anyone have any experience flying Southwest and checking golf clubs as one of your free checked bags?
My dad has a few times, he’s never had an issue.

He has a soft case. It’s obvious they’re clubs but he reminds them at the counter, and they put a special tag on them.
Never had issues but you usually have to pick them up at a different conveyor. Just ask a SWA attendant at baggage claim where to pick them up.
