Show up early for GotG virtual queue?

I know that you can get in line late after your boarding group time, but can you show up early? If we have a dining reservation and it’s starting to look like our group won’t be called soon, can we explain that we have a reservation and be allowed to board early?

It never hurts to try, but it’s probably not going to happen

What time is your reservation? What BG are you? What BG are they at by now?

We’re not there until next week. I’m just worrying ahead of time!! We’ll be trying for a BG at 1:00, and our reservation is at Monsieur Paul at 6:00 and I figure that we’ll be there probably a couple of hours. After 20-something trips to WDW I’m finally getting to go to MP! We’ve only got one day at Epcot and this is our first trip since GotG opened.

Can’t you get the 7am VQ instead of the 1pm?

It just seems easier to get one in the morning if possible, and then go whenever you’re there before your dinner res. I haven’t heard of anyone being allowed in early, but maybe for one like that you could sweet talk the CM.

If you’re aiming for 1pm VQ you’ll very likely end up being called after MP (or during)

Like @schoenbauer I’m wondering why you wouldn’t try for the 7am?

That wasn’t rude at all. I should have said that we’ll be trying for a 7:00 VQ first. I’m usually not very lucky with getting 7:00 VQs though - or at least I wasn’t lucky getting RotR VQs. I’ve been practicing getting the 7:00 VQ the last week or so, and so far would have gotten only one, but most days the 1:00 has slots available after 1:00 (I could join now at 3:40). I’m great at over-thinking and worrying about things!! haha

My concern would be riding after my MP dinner. That’s too good a meal to keep for such a short time.

I agree. My last two attempts were BG1 and BG4.
