I haven’t been to Magic Kingdom since they moved rope drop from the train station to the front of the castle. Can you shop on Main Street, while waiting for the show?

It is my understanding that you shops are open awhile before actual rope drop which occurs in front of the castle now. You can shop and get your starbucks before rushing the attractions.

Main Street opens at 8am on a 9am opening.
It only opens around 7:45 am on a 8am opening.

Yes! This is the best time to shop on main street imo. I had everything sent back to my hotel too so I didn’t have to carry it all day. It worked out perfectly!
