I am using a desktop computer. I am trying to share links to my personalized touring plans with another liner that has helped me out. (I had done this many times in the past before the website redesign.) I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I click the “Share Plan” button and copy the link to the clipboard. I can see the identifying plan number in the address bar. I copy and paste the link to the conversation I am having, and the pasted text does include the plan identifying number. All seems well. But if you look at the right-hand side of the page, the link has somehow converted to Touring Plans promotion for their pre-designed touring plans. I sent the post to my friend with what I thought were the links. Not so. The links took the recipient to the Touring Plans promotion page. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have an idea of what I am doing wrong? This was never a problem for me in the past.
Yes
Ok, in my defense, it was after midnight, and I was tired, but I was being really DUMB. When I was copying and pasting the links to my plans last night, I forgot to click on the hyperlink icon and was pasting directly into the chat.
We’re all good now. (I think…)
That’s the step I always forget.
Thank you. I don’t feel so badly now!
That should normally work if you’re using the forum or other Discord server. Granted sometimes links do weird things when generating a preview. Glad you got it to work though!
Actually, I thought it was working because the link shows up properly in my post to the PM conversation we are having. But my friend (liner) tells me that when he clicks on the link, he gets a message that he does not have access to these plans. Anyone have any experience with this or any ideas?
