Seven Hours Away - We Should Go To Disney! 😎

We leave tomorrow on a road trip to visit my MIL in Gulf Shores, AL. Seeing as how we will be a mere seven hours to Disney World, I want to stop in for a night. He’s ok not going to a park and I have an AP. It would be nice for him if we stay onsite so he could explore the resort while I hit up a park, or two, or four.
But where are the good places to stay that are not in the bubble? The least expensive Value (ASS) is $190. If we can beat the price staying off site I would rather. Normally, not staying in the bubble would be a deal breaker. But I have a solo trip coming up in 40 days, so I can live with it.
I know you enablers have suggestions.

Oh, and I am looking at lodging for next Thursday through Sunday timeframe.

Have you tried looking on Hotels.com? Though by the time you add in parking and resort fees, you might be better off at ASS! There are things for him to do there! It’s the week before Easter so it is pricey! Airbnb usually isn’t worth it for 2 people. Good luck!

There are some places in Flamingo Crossings (SpringHill Suites). @Dreamer’s crew stayed there recently.

There are a number of places in Flamingo Crossings I considered before deciding we’d do onsite.

The difference in price staying off site was negligible at this late date. My husband was so enthusiastic about not having to go with me to the parks he told me to make the choice. I chose two nights at Pop for the Skyliner. It was a $50 a night difference, but I think he would enjoy Pop more than ASS. Taking a trip to Disney next week was not on my bingo card, so I am stoked. It just occurred to me that I will get to see the Easter eggs for the first time!!!

Really!?! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. DH saw them in person last week and said they are more impressive in person than in my pictures!:rofl::rofl:

That also gives him the option to visit other resorts if he wants to go exploring.

Here we go! NJ

We won’t be in the World until Saturday, but Eeyore is about to help me with this road trip. I don’t even like road trips, but here we are.
850 miles to AL. 490 miles to WDW. 1100 miles home.:grimacing:

Safe travels! Only 1 kid visiting Granny?

That is a lot of miles! But road trips allow for stops that catches your attention! I’ve never been to a Buccees!
