Save extra park day for future use?

I’m currently on hold with WDW, who knows how long it’ll take, but we have a 5 day ticket from April 2020, for our upcoming trip we only need 4 days, does anyone know if the 5th day will be good until the Sept 26, 2021 date and then change over to a credit? Or will it expire within 7 days of use from the day we first use our tickets?

Any unused days on a multiday ticket can be used for credit toward the purchase of future tickets.

The hold music is a delight sometimes. Provided you’re not on it for literally the entire day
