Sad and awesome at the same time!

I may have missed it but any idea when MV and RRC are going down?

I need to say my goodbyes…

Maybe I’m being dupped by that giant open space in the middle of the launch bay area. Kind of like when a living room has a cathedral ceiling and it makes the room feel bigger. Probably it’s a backstage area thing? A while ago Mickey Views said something about using some of the space by Star Tours. I wonder if that’s on the chopping block too?

I think it is this.

MuppetVision is confirmed to close for Monsters Inc. But not necessarily for the coaster, it seems that’s going to be an expansion into the car park. An “all new” Muppets show is coming, which makes sense to use the existing building ……

I think this is an awesome way to keep Muppets in the park! I don’t feel a ton of attachment to the theming of RNRC, however. And mostly now I just feel pain from riding it. Don’t suppose they can fix that?

Wow allot going on suddenly at The Studios! I’m all for RnRC getting a re-theme and Muppets will be fun especially with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem involved! Im sad that Muppet vision will be going away . Hopefully none of this happens until after summer 2025 to give us all a chance for last rides on RnRC (featuring Aerosmith) and seeing Muppet vision at least 1 more, but likely 2 or 3 times lol

It’s only awesome for those who both meet the height requirement AND can ride coasters. It means no more Muppets for me. :sob::sob:

Honestly, they’re making it easier and easier for me to make the decision not to return. With the loss of Rivers of America and TSI and now this. The only reason for going to DHS now for me are Galaxy’s Edge (which I think is great as a casual SW fan, with an awesome attraction in Rise), Indy (which must be in danger of being cut), One Man’s Dream and Fantasmic. MMRR is fine but nothing that special.

DLP have a fantastic Adventureland (with the elements of TSI) and Frontierland. Both way better than at MK in terms of the theming and details, places to properly explore, atmosphere etc. Their night time shows and stage shows make WDW seem novices at entertainment.

Of course there’s lots more to enjoy at WDW, but it’s becoming much easier to accept that we might not be back.

I concur! You’ve saved me time!

I’m glad they are showing appropriate reverence for the Muppets and the existing attraction. But I’m looking forward to the new stuff. Looks great!

I feel bad for everyone who will miss what’s there.

I kinda hope they do move the Laugh Floor to HS in the Muppet theatre space and replace the MK show with something else.

We pretty much knew that the Muppets Courtyard would be razed for Monstropolis, and the retheme of Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster was long overdue as allegations against Steven Tyler could force a sudden closure of the ride. Glad it’s the Muppets taking over!

Why can’t they put Muppets in the theater behind/next to Launch Bay?

Isn’t that where VotLM is?

No there is a small theater in the back that showed a Star Wars movie

Oh yes. Accessed from Launch Bay itself.

There ate alternative places it could go in DJS and even Epcot. 3D shows do require quite a lot of equipment, not sure the Launch Bay one has more than the screen itself.

I think it could be ok in terms of scale. Based on concept art the whole coaster will be built at the end of the area, which has been closed up since SWGE was built - before you could go around Muppet Vision. And it seems (again based on the concept) like they might replace the huge store in the middle that has been closed for years with a smaller building.
