Has anyone heard any rumors (yes I know they would only be rumors) about whether ROTR will soft open? I’m wondering about Thanksgiving week. Thanks for any info.
I would be interested in what anyone has heard. I have heard conflicting rumors that it is ready to go (Bob Iger and other executives publicly confirmed they have ridden it a few weeks ago so there has to be some truth to that) and others have said that it is behind schedule and they may have to push back the opening date. Both could be true if there are certain elements that aren’t working in synch.
My guess is it will open exactly December 5th. I think they will take all the time they need to avoid a Hagrid situation but they will do everything they can not to miss the deadline, including eliminating ride elements that don’t work.

He actually says Disneyland but that one is opening even later (January 17th) so who know how WDW is progressing.
The only thing I have heard is Tim Tracker mentioning that he was invited to the media event a few days before the official opening. From which I can speculate that the ride will open on time, but not earlier.
Len and Jim (Disney Dish podcast & TP) say their sources tell them that construction is running around the clock frantically trying to stay on schedule. It looks like it is going to come right down to the wire. Jim joked that it will definitely be open on 12/5/19 even if they have to carry people on their backs like Yoda.

When I first saw the acronym GotG, I honestly thought it meant Game of Thrones. The movie - Guardians- had pretty much passed me by, and all I could think was “why the €¥$ is Disney building a Game of Thrones attraction”?

Anyone heard anything about extended hours when ROTR opens? Either early morning or evening. Just curious as I haven’t heard anything and I need to do FP selections next week.
I’ve been getting notices that MK is extending it’s opening and closing hours that week. However, no news about DHS hours.
Which days have you heard that there will be extended hours?
Check the My Disney Experience website. They extended hrs for Thanksgiving week considerably since I first started looking; I wouldn’t be surprised if they started extending into Dec as well.
