Room request help for BLT

I need some advice on how to word our request. We have a 2 bedroom preferred view (it was called lake view when we booked). I’m sure things are more limited with the renovations but I figured I’d try! We want a higher floor, so I am going to say Flr 8-14. We are trying to avoid the rooms that more or less look directly across at the other side of the resort (xx05 and xx41). Our first choice would be an end room, either xx02 or xx44n then xx12, then xx17 or xx29. I feel like also asking for a renovated room might be too much since that would really limit the options but I guess I could throw that in? I think that would only be xx44 or xx29.

Would it make sense if I say:
Flr 8-14; order of preference xx02, xx44, xx12 xx17, xx29

Appreciate any advice, the sample wording in the room request tool doesn’t seem to make sense for what we are looking for, but I’m not sure I’m making sense either lol.

It seems the simpler you make it the better your chances of getting a match

Your rooms may be too specific — but also what if none of those rooms are available? There is no direction for them to go

I might just say high floor (or specified floors) and renovated. If you get one of the rooms you really don’t want you can stop by the desk before going to the room and see if they can change your assignment

Thank you, I’ll change it to “ Upper floor, nice view (example xx02, xx44, xx12 xx17, xx29)”. I’m hesitant to add a request for a renovated room because that would really cut into the options, especially since it seems there are more 2 bedrooms on the side where they are currently doing construction.

When’s your trip?

The upper floors of the north wing are currently being worked on.
The whole refurb is on track to be done by September, so in a couple of months they should have moved onto the lower floors.
Which means that ALL rooms available will be refurbed rooms.

Also I assumed the distribution of rooms is the same on both wings. Where are you seeing that is not the case?

This. Getting everyone’s check-in and check-out dates to fit is like a big Jenga puzzle for the CM handling room assignments. Each guest is always going to be limited in room options by the timing all other guests’ reservations. If the guest’s room request doesn’t fit in those already limited options, there is nothing the room assignment CM can do.

I think this is a good way to present it.

Using the Touring Plans room finder, it shows that there is an additional villa on the north side that matches our room type - I am guessing it has just enough of a glimpse of water to be considered lake view and not standard view. Otherwise yes the North and South wings seem to mirror each other.

We are going in two weeks, I should have mentioned that! So I know the North wing will be in the midst of work.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and insights!

Of the rooms on the outer circle (overlooking 7 seas), floors 4 and below are standard view, 5 and up are theme park view.

But those rooms right at the end are gorgeous. Looking left you can see Soace Mountain but you also get a beautiful view of the edge of Bay Lake. It’s like looking at a mangrove swamp -I have no idea if they are mangroves or not but in the early morning mist it’s very evocative of them.
