Rideshare to Boardwalk

Hey!

I’m experienced at using Uber & Lyft around Orlando and Disney. I’m trying to find the drop off for the Boardwalk eateries and can’t find one.

I’ve parked there in a rental car before. I had to go through the security gate and let them know I had a reservation.

I can’t find a “drop off” zone in the Lyft / Uber app. What should I input as my destination?

Should I just take a Minnie Van? I know they get easier access to areas around WDW and the resorts…

Thanks!

There is no rideshare drop off just for the Boardwalk area. You have to choose one of the hotels, so BW or BC/YC. You might need an ADR for them to let you in, if you have one just choose the resort where the restaurant is.
Without an ADR, it’s usually easier to choose the Swan as they don’t have a gate Uber has to go through. I would not get a Minnie Van, regular Uber is fine.

You could also Uber to HS and use the Skyliner if you want to give that a try, but keep in mind it takes about 30 min to make the trip.

Thanks!! I may have to do this as I am going to the Cake Shop which doesn’t take ADRs.

I checked it’s about a 10 - 15 minute walk from The Swan… :man_running: :man_running:

I admit I do want to try to get on it this trip…

I’m still a skyliner virgin. If I don’t take it that night, what parks it is easiest to access the skyliner to park hop? I used to know all the routes, but I don’t anymore…

It only goes between Epcot and HS as well as Pop, AOA, CBR, and Riviera resorts.

Oh!! I hadn’t checked! I see that now! Thanks!!

Thanks! I’ll try to use it from DHS to Epcot on Friday

How is that possible? It’s one of the best rides in WDW. But don’t use it for your trip to the Boardwalk. You want to ride it during the day.

We have a reservation.

I can do Flight of Passage, Big Thunder Mountain, and others, but I get motion sick on the Skyliner. Which is a bummer because it makes staying at a Skyliner resort convenient.

The pandemic! I was all ready to go in 2020 :rofl:

Then when everything reopened I discovered how awesome Universal is and haven’t stayed on-site at WDW since 2018 :rofl:

When I met @stlouie at Yacht Club for breakfast, I told the gate guard I was meeting someone for an ADR, but they had the confirmation with them.

I was let through with no issue. Not sure if that will change now that there’s more Christmas decorations and gingerbread displays up that people will want to visit and see

You should not have problems parking with an ADR, even in early December at the Boardwalk Resorts and even at the monorail resorts. I can’t speak to Christmas and NY.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice! I have my ADR info now. I’m planning on going directly to the resort parking lot with that. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Reminds me of my liner meet with @LTinNC82 at Topollino’s. Am I recalling this correctly - when you got to Riviera you realized we didn’t have enough “real” information on one another to define who you were meeting?

 OMG that was so funny. “What’s the name on the reservation?” I don’t know. “You don’t know who you’re having breakfast with?” I know her screen name. “Well can you call her?” No, but I can message her on the forum and hope she responds. He finally just let me go thinking I was a lunatic, but we had a great breakfast regardless!
