Hello all! Seeking community input- how to pull off a resort hop starting from Grand Floridian, with a 5:45pm dinner reservation )- from there would like to see (in no certain order - looking for advice!): Contemporary; Polynesian; and Wilderness Lodge. Hoping to mix boat and monorail efficiently. Any suggestions from those who have done this? Thank you!
There several ways you can do this.
I would probably do GF to MK, transfer to boat to WL. After done they, take boat back to MK, then walk to Contemporary. From there monorail to the Poly.
But the boat part be aware won’t run if there is lightning in the area, so you can use the bus if need be instead between MK and WL if the boats aren’t running.
Thank you very much!
Are you staying at Grand Floridian? If so, I’d boat to MK and switch to WL boat, then boat to Contemporary, and take Monorail from Contemporary to Polynesian, then you can walk from Polynesian back to your resort. Maybe plan to watch fireworks and/or electric boat parade from Contemporary or Poly
I forgot the boats are running between WL and Contemporary directly again!
Thank you again!
Monorail to Contemporary
Ferry to WL
Ferry back to Contemporary
Monorail to Poly
Maybe maybe not due to construction
Are you staying at GF or just starting there for dinner? Asking to see if you are trying to use Disney transport to get back to your hotel, if you are driving, or open to Uber (if it needs to be a “closed loop” circuit back to GF, end wherever because you can Uber, or end at MK to catch a bus back).
Are people allowed to hop into different resort pools or are they kept to the resort where they are booked?
No pool hopping
Many resorts are now scanning MBs or checking hotel ressies before allowing admission
Appreciate the help! We are staying off property (Drury Disney Springs). We have a dinner reservation at Grand Floridian. There is a Drury shuttle to the TTC at Magic Kingdom, which we would probably take.
Perhaps:
Drury shuttle to TTC @ MK
MK monorail to Grand Floridian (dinner; see public areas of GF); then
Grand Floridian Monorail to Contemporary (see public areas of Contemporary); then
Contemporary Ferry to Wilderness Lodge (see public areas of Wilderness Lodge): then
Wilderness Lodge Ferry to Polynesian
Polynesian walk to TTC
does this work and is this an insane amount of time spent in transit?
This part doesn’t work.
You can take a boat from WL to CR, then monorail to Poly.
You can take a boat from WL to MK, then monorail or a different boat to Poly.
Or you can take a boat from WL to CR or MK, then monorail to TTC and walk to Poly.
Or you can take a boat from WL to MK, then take the big ferry to TTC and walk to Poly.
I would say yes to “insane amount of time in transit”, but it all depends on what you want to do. They are all nice resorts, but in my opinion, you see more of the grounds and hotel amenities in the day time. Though again, it’s all about you. You will likely get a glimpse of fireworks or electric boat parade in transit, so that would be nice.
