We are headed to the world in May and using DME to get to our Disney Resort. Problem is, we want to go to the beach for a few days after our Disney stay. Can we rent a car at Disney and have it delivered to our resort, or is there a place to rent a car on Disney property?
The care care center is on property, snd you csn rent from there.I believe they will pick you up from your resort.
The Swalphin and DTD Hilton have car rentals as well, I believe.
Check out rental prices at www.carrentalsavers.com - you may find that it is cheaper to rent at the airport for your entire vacation. Also, keep checking rates there daily, and rebook every time you see a better deal.
You can rent on property and get picked up from your Disney resort. You call the day before to setup a time and the shuttle meets you in front of your resort, usually the same place the Magical Express bus drops off/picks up.
Depending on how much time/effort you want to put into researching prices ahead of time, you may find cheaper rates from rental car companies at the Swan/Dolphin or one of the Downtown Disney properties, though getting to those locations will require using buses from one of the parks to Swan/Dolphin or from your resort to Downtown Disney (and then walking to the Downtown Disney hotel). Whether the effort to research prices, the potential savings, and the time getting to another hotel is “worth it” will, of course, be up to you.
If you decide to rent from the swan/dolphin you can easily combine this with a trip to DHS or Epcot. From DHs just get the boat to the hotel, from Epcot just leave by the international gateway (between France and UK) and its a 10 - 15 minute walk. Can then drive back to your hotel.
