Absolutely check frequently and recheck frequently. Our June rental (Alamo) has dropped from $150 to $129 over the course of about two weeks.

If you or one of your family members works for a large organization, you may want to check with HR to see if they have any deals with vendors for this type of thing. My husband works for a Big Ten University and they have a deal with National and Enterprise that gives us far better rates and terms than any other deal Iāve been able to find. You may just want to check that route.
