My family of 8 are hoping to enjoy the Epcot fireworks cruise for our stay in March. We plan on spending the day in Epcot. I know that the fireworks cruise boat docks at the Bayside Marina in Y&B Club.
My question is, after the fireworks are over and the boat docks back at the Bayside Marina, will we still be able to re-enter Epcot at the International Gateway entrance to be able to walk to our car parked in the Epcot parking lot?
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I’m just worried that Epcot won’t let us back in. Also, does anyone have any experience with the Epcot fireworks cruise? I’ve heard it’s better than the MK cruise, because you can’t see the castle projections with that one. Also, it says that the cruise includes “assorted snacks.” My daughter has celiac disease, so can we request gluten-free snacks, or would that not be possible?
I can’t answer about the “letting you back into Epcot”, as I’ve only done the MK one, but they will call you the day before the cruise to confirm pick up time, and at that time you can tell them any dietary restrictions (such as celiac).
I’d suspect, however, that you will not be able to go back through the park, and would probably have to get a Lyft from one of the resorts back to the parking lot… is it an option to not drive to the park that day and get there some other way?
Yes, you can request that. The GF snacks are prepackaged, so no chance of cross-contamination.
Hmmm, I don’t know. If it were me, I would park at HS and walk, take boat, or skyliner to EP just to be on the safe side. That way you can just head to HS after the cruise.
Yes. It’s an excellent view and was the highlight of my trip in 2022. This was the view with tacos. I forgot the name of that show. I suspect it’s a better view with Luminous.
I wonder if they will ever bring back that show, but modified to use the Luminous barges instead. I found Luminous to be meh. I never saw Harmonious, other than the televised version…but the music was way better.
I’m off topic.
This is a very good idea.
I also wondered if it would be possible to drive over and park at Yacht Club in the evening since you would have a reservation for the fireworks cruise.
Thank you! I loved Harmonious the show. The tacos and rickety looking Ferris wheel during the day was a major eyesore. It was harder to find a good place for watching it, though. Luminous looks good from anywhere. Not keen on all parts of it.
This was going to be my recommendation. The only issue OP may have with that is if entering by main gate would be more advantageous for their touring plans
When we did Hoop De Do in wilderness lodge we used to take the boat back to MK and then the monorail to Epcot and take the Skyliner back to Pop to avoid the buses. Now we find we do not have enough time to do this because YOU CANNOT reenter Epcot after 9pm.even to walk to the International gateway and the Skyliner. You can leave after 9pm but you are not allowed to reenter after park closing.
Not a silly question! As others have said, you will not be able to get back into Epcot once the park closes. My suggestion would be to move your car over to YC sometime during the afternoon/evening. @ThorKat might remember what time we were able to park there for our FW cruise. She booked our cruise and should be able to answer questions.
Just take the bus to Boardwalk or BC. Then Skyline from there. Or just bus to Pop.
ETA: See you are trying to avoid the bus. I don’t find the MK buses that bad. The other option would be ride share.
I would call the number on your reservation. They were super helpful the couple of times I called to ask questions, then you will know for sure! But I still would move my car because then you won’t have to walk through the park with all the people at the end of the night!!
At the end of the night, you are beat. The last thing I want to do is be stuffed like a sardine in a resort bus. We will take a Monorail From MK to Epcot and walk to the International Gateway where the Skyliner is and then to Pop. Of coarse this is when Epcot is open.
That’s a lot of walking! The AoA buses are much, much less crowded. You could take that bus and walk over. And Epcot may not let you in if you get there after closing.
Alternatively, if you get to the Epcot buses before Epcot fireworks, you could beat a lot of the crowds then.
