Rapid Antigen Testing at MCO?

So Canada has announced that they will now accept people arriving with Rapid Antigen testing 24 hours prior to their arrival. However, this must be administered by a lab or “health care entity”.

Since we won’t have a car to zip out to get it done, do they offer such testing at MCO?
Is that crazy to leave it last minute?
Is it expensive like everything else at an airport?

I feel like it is offered there. I feel like I saw some signage to that effect in January

Have you checked the MCO website or app?

OK good “voice of reason” idea.
It’s offered at MCO but doesn’t list price and it says it’s done in 10-15 minutes, appointments not necessary but can be made online.
Hate cramming things into getting thru the flight but I don’t see there’s any other option.

Could you try calling that AdventHealth that Disney partners with? That’s who I called and they picked me up at my resort and took me to their office just outside of Disney springs and I got tested. Granted it wasn’t only for a test, but that was part of the visit.

I’m not sure if this would work for you, but I used this service when I had to fly from the US to Germany last year. You did the rapid test over a computer camera - they watched you stick it up your nose and validated your results. It was stress-free compared to trying to find a test center when I didn’t speak German! eMed | Travel

Advent health has offices on property now for CMs. There used to be a testing center there too.

yeah they were accepting the other testing (PCR?) done in that manner but I haven’t seen anything saying that this is accepted for the Rapid Antigen Testing.

The newspaper this morning mentioned Telehealth as an option, so I think that the video thing might be allowable.

There are free testing sites around Orange county but I live in an adjacent county. I know at one point Disney was looking out for their employees, but guests had access to those sites for testing and vaccinations too. However, I’m not sure of the current circumstances. @LTinNC82 already shared that she called GS and they connected her w/ Advent Health. I would think that GS would have knowledge about where to get a test b/c they have a whole area of FtW sectioned off for covid positive guests to isolate from other guests.

ETA: MCO is supposed to have a testing site

The Switch Health link I shared in the other thread also offers RATs that you can do in the same way (supervised, online) that work. $79 for a package of two if you have an air miles card (or if you decide to get one just to save the money, which is what I did  ).

Thanks!
The articles that I read about the testing to re-enter Canada were so insistent against home testing, I wasn’t sure if this supervised testing met the new requirements
That’ll make it easier!

The Disney Maingate testing location was opened again and they do free antigen tests.

The Switch Health one works for going to the US, so I’m going to assume it will work for return.

…I have my get out of jail free card that I’ll be using for my next trip. That pesky positive result from Walgreens. I just need to get a letter from my doctor so I can use it for going to US (that is such a stupid requirement)
