Question on release/delivery date of 2020 Unofficial Guide

I pre-ordered the 2020 Unofficial Guide through Amazon a few weeks ago. At the time, it didn’t have a delivery date, but I expected it would be in early/mid August, based on history.

I am leaving for a trip to WDW on the 18th.

Well, I just got an email from Amazon saying that the release date is now set for August 13th, but that my expected delivery date is between September 3rd and October 4th. That obviously won’t work for me.

Has anyone pre-ordered this from Amazon before, and do you know when it realistically usually gets delivered relative to release date? I’d really like to have it for this trip.

I ordered it last year on August 7th and it shipped on August 12th. The release date last year was August 14th. To be safe, you may want to check with your local bookstore to see when they expect their shipment to arrive.

I personally would buy last years copy of the book if you are wanting it for your trip! Most of the info is the same with some updates throughout the book.
