Question from a friend about a VIP tour

DWs friend is going to WDW with her husband and 2 kids (age 8 and 5) for their first trip to WDW. They know nothing about WDW, but have booked a 7 hour VIP tour. She was originally planning on only doing MK for the VIP tour but asked me if she should consider more than 1 park. She said the 8 year old will want to ride everything. The 5 year old is about 44" tall so there will be a few rides she can’t do.

I suggested splitting between HS and MK. Anyone have any other thoughts? They have 2 other full park days and 2 other 1/2 park days.

For those ages staying at MK the whole time makes the most sense. A VIP tour around MK doing will give them more than they can handle!

It’s got the most rides & attractions and you don’t lose any time park hopping.

I had a VIP experience in December. I started at 8am and by 2:30pm I still had MANY things I didn’t do - especially the attractions for younger kids like Dumbo, Barnstormer, Enchanted Tales, BTMRR and more… Even getting “immediate” access to the rides doesn’t mean you can do it all.

Use the other two days to go to DHS and then either AK or EP… (I’d do a full AK day, then a half day at EP to hit up Remy and FEA while Mom and Dad wine & dine around WS!)

If these were pre-teen / teens I’d consider hopping…maybe…

This was our day in 2023 with kiddos 7 and 3 on a VIP tour. We split it between MK and HS, but also because we already knew our kids loved so many rides in HS, and those LLs are hard to juggle. But you can never go wrong with a whole day in MK.

This is great. I like what you did as a general plan. I think this is better than a whole day at MK because I am concerned our friends will have trouble getting LLs for everything they want at HS if they go a different day. They should be able to do a lot at MK on a non-VIP day with LLMP and LLSP so for VIP day hitting the tough rides at MK and then heading to HS may make the most sense.

I recommend MK+HS to 98% of my VIP clients. And, actually, it usually goes something like this for 7 hr tour:
Single pass GOTG
Lunch near norway or france depending om whether they want frozen or remy (not both, too much time)
Guide picks them up end of lunch, ride frozen or remy
HS
MK ending w vip fireworks seating

IF they are comfortable doing drop times for EP to get frozen or if they arent interested in riding, start in am in HS with frozen or IJ show, lunch, guide picks them up at lunch and knocks out.HS then over to MK, etc.
