Question about ordering on the dining plan

My upcoming Feb Break trip will be my first time using the Dining Plan.

There are a couple of places where I may want to order an appetizer as well. Can I order that and pay for it separately or should I plan on making that an “out of pocket” meal (I’ll have at least one because I’m doing the ROL package at Tiffins).

Also if I’m somewhere that I can order a glass of wine - which I know I can with the 2018 package, at least at some places - but also want a soda, can I pay out of pocket for that?

Thanks!

You can order anything extra you want and they will charge you for it. I have used the dining plan and Tables in Wonderland at the same meal since I often add appetizers and drinks.

Thank you so much!

Yes, you can just pay oop for any “extras” you order.

I read that substitutions can be made but you have to check with your server. Might be worth a try to see if you could sub a desert for an app. I hope that is possible, we would like to split apps and deserts.

I believe the substitution is a dessert for a side but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Thanks!

In this case I’m specifically talking about ordering an appetizer in addition to the entree and dessert. But it’s good to know for other times that you might be able to substitute.

Just put it this way.
Can you think of ANY situation that Disney would not want to take your money.
If want to give Disney money, they will find a way to accommodate you.
