Question about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and 6-Day Tickets

My spouse and I will be arriving at WDW around midday on Thursday 10/22, and leaving in the late afternoon on Wednesday 10/28. We plan to visit a park on the morning of our departure day.
We have tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on the day we arrive, and we plan to enter the Magic Kingdom just after 4:00 on 10/22. We also have 6-Day Tickets for the other days that we are at WDW (Friday through Wednesday, 10/23 - 10/28).
Here’s my question: How do we make sure that we don’t inadvertently use the first day of our 6-Day Ticket when we enter MK on Thursday 10/22 (but instead use only our ticket for the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party)? It would be a shame if we accidentally “triggered” the start of our 6-Day Tickets, and as a result we couldn’t get into a park six days later on 10/28.
Hopefully this question makes sense, and someone out there will have a good (and practical!) answer for us. Thanks in advance for any guidance about this!

There will be a dedicated party entrance. The crowd will start lining up at those turnstiles by 3pm. You scan your party thicket and as you enter they will give you a wristband. On entering the park, as you go through the tunnel stay to the far right. There is a path behind Main Street where you get your trick or treat bag and first candy.

Have fun!

I’ll print out the ticket from the email I received and follow your instructions. Thank you!

Is your ticket linked to you in the My Disney Experience app? If so there is no need to bring a printed copy.

Just to add to @PrincipalTinker’s response, from talking to CMs, they have told me that the dedicated entrance computer is set up to only accept the Halloween Party tickets. This is nice because it makes sure only guests with party tickets enter through that direction and get wristbands, etc. It also ensures guests like you who have more than one ticket type don’t accidentally get the wrong ticket type scanned. This is true even if they open the dedicated taps prior to the official party entry time, which they often do (as much as 30 minutes before the publicized entry time).

For future reference, there are situations where you can have two different ticket types that are both valid for entry at a specific park on a given day. You can go to Guest Services prior to entry and have your preferred admission medium “prioritized.” However this doesn’t always work. The
only surefire way is to check MDE after entering and see which ticket was consumed. If it was the wrong one, you go to Guest Services and they can fix it for you. I have done this multiple times. It’s a hassle, but sometimes it’s the only way other than having a dummy profile or something like that (which is itself a huge hassle).

You don’t have to go all the way to guest services. You can ask for a CM with an iPad right at the taps and you can actually see which ticket they choose. If there are iPad CMs available it can take less than a minute.

Thanks, everyone! This is really helpful - and good to know that we don’t have to bring a printed ticket (since the entrance that we will use will only accept tickets to the Halloween Party).
