Well, he did full-on cancel, which means he would need to start from scratch in order to go.
Not saying he won’t, or that he didn’t keep whatever spreadsheets he may have made for it thus far… but the actual reservation is completely gone.

Brit here, living in Spain… I have been to DLP three times and WDW 11 with my 12th trip coming up next year. DLP is, in my opinion, way overpriced you can’t do a two week vacation there is way to pricey In comparison to Florida. We could take a road trip to DLP and I’d rather stick pins in my eyes!!! I found the parks dirty and the staff no where near as a friendly and professional as WDW. You may find yourself very disappointed after WDW. I always advice people to do Paris first and leave the best until last
So, what’s your countdown to Tokyo, then? 
LOL. No for me there’s only one Disneyworld. That’s Florida, although I did like Disneyland
