I am in the process of booking a trip to the Magic Kingdom next summer. Can someone explain how the water taxi from Port Orleans Riverside to Downtown Disney works? Where do you get it (on both ends)? How long is the ride? How often does it come and go? Is it better than the bus shuttle? Is there an additional cost? Any information is welcomed and appreciated!

I think @PrincipalTinker hooked you up with most of what you needed. I did just want to add the boat ride was so relaxing. I especially enjoyed it in the evening and once just jumped on for the experience alone. I did not even get off in DS.
