okayyyy so my dining window four our resort trip opens in 19 days! It will be the fam (2 adults, 3 kids- 8, 6, and 3) and my MIL! Background: My MIL was supposed to go on a trip with us that got cancelled because the park was closed due to COVID. We rescheduled for November, but she still wasn’t comfortable traveling so she stayed home. Well, she hasn’t stopped being bummed about that so when we decided to book a bounce back offer for a resort only trip (after our kids said their favorite part of our last trip- which included all four parks- was the pool and the arcade), we invited her to come with.
We are going Nov 2-6, so 4 nights and 5 days, and i’m thinking one meal “out” at a different resort per day. We are definitely going to do Topolino’s breakfast and Sanaa dinner, which we’ve done so many times. 1900 PF breakfast is a ‘maybe’. And Olivia’s breakfast is a ‘probably’- and so far the only one i have planned that we’ve never done before.
So we have room for one more spot to eat as a family, and i’m open to suggestions! I’m also thinking a date night is in order for the husband and i, so i’m soliciting ideas for that also. Husband doesn’t drink, i do.
We do have DDP for one adult and three kids, if that’s relevant. My husband and i have been to every deluxe restaurant, though never dined at Boardwalk. We’ve never been to Swan and Dolphin, but are open to it. I’ve heard BlueZoo is nice. Though wouldn’t take the DDP. We’ve never been to Coronado Springs or Carribean Beach. I think that’s all the relevant information. Thanks in advance for any thoughts! Oh also, Disney Springs? I forgot that we should probably plan a Disney Springs day/afternoon… I really have some planning to do.
We’re at Boatwrights nearly every trip. Food, server, ambiance have always been comfortable. The kids don’t just get a chicken or mac n cheese meal, they get to choose their sides also.
The resort parking lot is ample. The resort lobby is bright and cheerful. A well stocked store and YeeHaw Bob’s location open off the lobby. Boatwrights is down a hallway.
It’s at a moderate resort and the restaurant might seem on the plain side but it fits in with that need a break time very well.

Yes! We will be dining around Port Orleans- both sides- for all other meals. Including beignets, of course!

Yes, we put my mother in law in one room with all the kids, and my husband and I alone in another. So ‘she’ bought DDP for that room (but actually I did) which, with the promo, was one adult paid and 3 children free. I called Disney and one of their representatives set this up for me.
Date night at Boardwalk is easy - Flying Fish
A location for the whole group? I would suggest Ale & Compass or Steakhouse 71 as both offer variety for all

Or, maybe Chef Mickey’s for supper. I was pleasantly surprised here - in 2024 - at how much I liked the food and restaurant. I haven’t enjoyed the breakfasts I’ve had here.

Disney Springs, Frontera Cocina is delicious and quite beautiful inside.

If you have the DDP then,… well… The Polite Pig in DS is one of our stops every trip and it’s part of the DDP. The benights might count as a snack at PO??? There menu says it’s part of the DDP.
