Poly newbie here balcony question

I saw in a YouTube vlog that someone said that the 2nd floor rooms at the poly don’t have full balconies only Juliette style. She said it had something to do with Hawaiian folklore. Can anyone confirm or deny this? One of the reasons we are stretching our budget this trip is because we enjoy balconies that deluxe hotels offer.

So, I’m pretty sure all of the non-DVC buildings are set up that way: full balcony on 3rd floor, juliette balcony on 2nd floor. That includes Aotearoa, Fiji, Hawaii, Niue, Rarotonga, Samoa and Tuvalu.

However, I believe the DVC buildings (Tokelau, Pago Pago, Moorea) have 2nd and 3rd floor balconies.

To be safe, I’d request a 3rd floor room.

This is true. Only actual balcony is 3rd floor. We requested a third floor room in April on the MDE app and got third floor. View of the castle was incredible! (Obviously this will depend on where your room is located). But the request worked for us!
