I felt like WDW had upped their wandering character game on our visit in November. It was more like our experiences in DLR.

I’ll wait in line to see Ariel, but that’s pretty much it. I’m not super into the characters. I’ll stop if I see one roaming, though.

We met with Scrooge McDuck in Tokyo Disneyland and he was a hoot. One of my favourites. He wanted to know where our gold was. Kudos to the cast member because it was 34oC and very humid.

This is how I approach it, too. More expensive meal, of course, but you are paying to expedite the M&G and have a much more comfortable wait. Two birds, one stone. Also, there are better characters at the character meals, which is, I’m sure, by design. We really enjoyed most of the ones we’ve done: Cinderella’s RT, Tusker House, and Crystal Palace, both the food and the characters, have been the best.

I’ve yet to do Cindy but am seriously considering it next trip.
My favorite breakfast might be Cape May, for the bacon. I swear it’s better there than anywhere else and I’m quite sure I can get my money’s worth in the amount of bacon I can consume. Plus I generally get an especially good Daisy at Cape May.
We did Hollywood & Vine on our last trip. Our server was so much fun I’ve forgotten the characters.

OH, we did the Cape May character breakfast - that was a good one, too! I forgot about that while I was writing my post. Character breakfast at a hotel on check out day is another favorite thing of mine to extend the magic after the park tickets run out, lol.

Last trip we did Cape May for breakfast with the niece and nephew. I’m not so into the characters but the outfits were cute, the food was very good, and the kids enjoyed it.

When I was a kid I carried around my autograph book to all the characters every trip! My kids do not care about that, 
they never ask to wait in line for characters. I always schedule at least one character meal because it guarantees character greetings, but we just don’t know how to interact with them 
. Finally on our third trip we waited 15 mins for a couple different versions of my kids’ favorites - Chip and Dale, and they were so lovely and playful! Those are memories that stick out for me. I pay for Memory Maker so I especially like that we get Photo Pass pics from it, so I don’t have to worry about taking my own
