Poll Time! The Case For Afternoon Parade Viewing Spots

I thought maybe you were going to relate this to the discussion on the episode about how foul smelling the garlic is from Tony’s in the afternoon! But I’m guessing you haven’t actually listened to the episode and this I just a coincidence. :winking_face_with_tongue:

For the second question, I put Other because I prefer to watch the parade from inside Space Mountain.

Yes. It gets a job done. It’s nice to have consistency and they do a good job with allergens. :spaghetti:

I don’t actively seek out a spot to watch the parade. The last time I was at the MK, I was waiting for the train and the parade went through. I did enjoy watching the parade from there, especially since there were less people.

I used to love the Festival of Fantasy parade.

I actually used to stand in full sun in the old fast pass viewing area (it was why I answered the hub area). Now, I will stop if I am in the area and it is going by, but post Covid, as discussed it hasn’t quite been the same and although it is still a great parade, I miss the full version.

Oh this matters less when you have made the commitment to only do Florida from Nov-March!

Excepting perhaps the second coming of the Lord himself or a scheduled alien first contact, there is no parade I am camping out for days ahead. And, for the aliens I’d probably pick a distant hilltop with high powered binoculars.

Probably my all-time favorite WDW parade.

If I’m at the mall and want a meal that isnt fast food, it’s OK. But it’s definitely not a destination restaurant.

I am not really a parade person in general. For me a Disney parade means getting a spot at least 30 minutes prior, and then spending those minutes constantly saying “yo, dude, I was here first”. And then when you have defended your spot, a minute before it starts someone rams in front of you and then puts his kid up on his shoulders (same for fireworks). I do like the FoF parade and have seen it twice (the second time mostly be accident). The Tapestry of Nations in EP during the 2000 celebration was quite amazing.

The only times I’ve watched this parade has been twice from in front of Liberty Tree tavern and once in town square looking towards the castle. I liked both spots but Liberty Tree/Frontierland has the raised boardwalk and shade spots so prefer that if I’m going to wait around any amount of time.
