Is the Wine and Dine race now over the holiday weekend, or is it another October weekend?
That is a different weekend. Absolutely I should add “any race werkend” to that list.
Seperatly, and this is only a N of 1, I have found higher points times (except the week afyer Christmas) to be a little easier to book.
For what it’s worth I have seen a ton of movement at the Boardwalk around the Springtime races. I just scored a studio for that Thursday night and it’s like 75 days out.
@heathernoel , thanks for sharing your experiences as an AK owner.
Wow!
This sounds very helpful; I will check it out.
ETA: @KatieKat I also appreciate hearing that you are happy with your purchase. Noted about buying enough points for the more expensive views.
I honestly can’t remember hearing from a DVC owner that regretted the purchase . I am sure they exist, I just haven’t met one.
I own at CCV and BWV. I think the only east coast resorts we haven’t been to (either me or my son) in the last 8 years are Vero snd OKW ( it has been booked but waitlists came through). I love both my home resorts, and would buy them again. My only regret is that I should have bought more points at both resorts.
They wouldn’t be on this forum - anyone who loves Disney will figure out a way to get their money’s worth! ![]()
(Count me as one who is a satisfied customer.

Agree with this! We just purchased our first points in July 2025. The Field Guide was really helpful.
For us, it is more about being an act of fiscal responsibility and restraint than “regret”. I would LOVE to have more points…but that wouldn’t, ultimately, be good for our budget!!! ![]()
@KatieKat If you haven’t already purchased the DVC Field Guide, I was able to get 25% off mine last year for being a Touring Plans member by using the discount code TP25.
