Plans for Attractions/Shows Not Available?

In some cases, there are attractions or shows that might not be available (spongy attraction re-opening dates, shows that haven’t yet been extended/renewed). Of course, if I add these to my plan and there are “no show times available on that date” then I can’t optimize. Which is fine and makes sense. But my worry is that if a show becomes available later and I’ve removed it from my plan to optimize, I will either forget to re-add it or presume it’s unavailable still. Is there a method you all use to keep track of these types of shows so you don’t completely forget about them?
In theory, I’d like a way to “sideline” an attraction or show in my plan so it’s not included but still in my wishlist for the day. (Or if my day is full, then I have the ones I’ve removed to make room, and then I still have them around in that list in case we are running ahead or change our minds on the day of.) I supposed keeping a notepad list is the simplest solution but I know we have creative/inventive people here.

Add a break in your plan for about how long you’d think the attraction/show would take, and then put the name in the notes of that break. You can also put the location of the break near the location of the closed one so that the plan doesn’t think you’re walking all over the place.

I think this would be a good feature too! It’s showing no Fantasmic for my April dates and I’m sure there will be Fantasmic at least once.

I remember years ago being able to add Remy to my plans months and months before it even opened!

Yeah, I had the issue with the Jollywood events before the event was added to the Plans options (thanks, @len !) and this particular time, Acrobatico is one show I always like to watch but hasn’t been extended. If they kill it, so be it, but if it’s extended/added for December then I don’t want to forget about it. (I didn’t mention the specifics originally because I was more interested in solutions/ideas than this specific show.)

I’m having a similar conversation with @linsalt about the optimizer not allowing the selection of a specific showtime when Disney’s official schedule isn’t known and we’re using past showtimes as estimates.

From our perspective, it might cause confusion if we allow the selection of a specific showtime that doesn’t actually exist when the real schedule comes out.

This week we added a note to the optimizer when this happens.

I make them a break, listing out what the times are projected to be, usually looking at the previous year if available. I make the break time the preferred time. Not optimal for optimization. But it’s my work around.
