I have a 9 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. My daughter wants to do one of the four pirate cruises from the hotels that are for 4-12 year olds but my middle school son is rolling his eyes. I would want to send them together. Would the 12 year old end up enjoying it or would he be bored because he’s too old?
If he already is rolling his eyes about it ,I’d question sending him. My ds6 did it last sept.and had a blast ,he was one of the younger kids on the cruise. Not sure of the ages of the other 8-10 kids that went with him,when they returned all had ear to ear grins.you know your ds best. Dd could enjoy doing something w/o big brother around.

But then mama doesn’t get alone time! 
I’ve been looking at the videos online, what few of them there are, and I don’t see too many big kids towards that upper limit of 12 years. He’s probably just too old for a treasure hunt. I’ll see if she’d be willing to go without him. Thanks for the response!
