Just as an FYI. We were at MK this past Friday (a party day) and hopped to HS for the evening. It was insane. So crowded. Nothing less than a 60 minute wait (even ASS). We regretted our decision.

Thanks for sharing your experience - I’m hoping the Epcot festival will maybe break that up a bit, but that’s definitely making me think more about just booking our LLMPs for DHS and not using them in MK at all that day. That way we could pretty much just ride without waits and then watch F!

Good point. There was no festival at Epcot this past weekend when we were there.

Oh boy. Thats disappointing.
Maybe a resort dinner is the way to go.

We went to HS around 6 pm. It was actually downpouring when we arrived which we thought would help the crowds. It didn’t seem to.
MK crowds were so low. We arrived at 7:40 (early entry was 7:30). We did Tron, PM, Buzz, Tiana’s, Big Thunder, Pirates, JC, Carpets, country bears, HM, PP and 7D. We also had three snack/food breaks. We watched the parade at 2 and left. It was amazing.

I’d also recommend doing Hollywood Studios on the second night instead of heading to Magic Kingdom. You will knock out sooo much of Magic Kingdom the day before.
Take the skyliner from Epcot to Hollywood Studios, I think a newbie would appreciate just seeing the Boardwalk area also - I had no idea that even existed until my second trip as an adult.
But you are definitely making the correct decision to get park hoppers for a fall weekend - I wouldn’t want to be at Magic Kingdom at any time on a non party day during the months of September - November.
