Parade and HEA viewing

I have (gasp) never watched HEA from the parks because we hate crowds and I have no desire to wait around for an hour. With that being said, I am considering watching the earlier parade and then HEA. Where would be a good spot to see both that doesn’t involve staking out a slot for over an hour (I’m probably dreaming here)?

I’m sure the answer is going to be yes but is it really worth it? My son also hates loud noises so I’m not sure how the FW will go that close.

Do you need to see the projections?

No but I would like to see the castle lit up - it’s hard to miss I know.

The town square area might be a good place. You could move a little further down Main Street for the fireworks. You’ll see the effects, but not necessarily the specific projections.

Don’t you need to be at Town Square way in advance for the parade. It does make for a pretty easy exit.
