We (DH and I) did a PC cruise April 2008, but on RCL. I suggest checking out the discussion boards on CruiseCritic.com - they are very active. You can search by specific cruise line, or destination, or homeport - or many other things. You will get more responses there.
We went from Tampa to San Diego. We did a walking tour in Cartagena, Colombia of the old fort. It was ok, and very hot. We liked the Puntarenas, Costa Rica shore excursion that combined Pacific Rainforest Aerial Tram and a jungle-boat ride on the Tarcoles River (birds and crocodiles).
We really liked doing a Panama Canal cruise, but the sun is scorching hot! You’re closer to the equator. Many days the UV index was 10+, and even was 11+ once.
